Dream interpretation of the vulture, also known as karghis, is a scavenger animal. hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that the vulture is the leader of birds, being strong, sharp-eyed, and long-lived among birds. if one sees a vulture with them, it indicates they shall obtain benefit and greatness from a noble person and acquire wealth and petition from a king. if they have vulture bones or roasted vulture meat, the interpretation remains the same. hazrat ibrahim kermani, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees a vulture grabbing them and taking them close to the sky, this indicates they will undertake a long journey and acquire much wealth and bounty, but their religion will be corrupted because they did not die after reaching the sky with a vulture. if one sees that a vulture dropped them from the air or they have fallen themselves, it indicates they will fall from dignity and greatness, and their work will be ruined. and if one sees a vulture taking them to the sky, and they reside there, it indicates they will go on a journey and die there; but if they return to earth, they will gain greatness from a king, or find honor among the king's people or their kinsmen. a vulture without claws seen in a dream represents an angel, as angels carrying the throne are in the form of vultures. if one sees a vulture hunting over their head, this indicates that the dreamer will engage in trading. if one sees themselves fighting a vulture and prevailing, it indicates they will fight a great person and prevail over them; if the opposite is seen, the enemy will overpower them. if one sees a baby vulture in a dream, if they have a wife, they will have a child, otherwise they will marry a wealthy virgin girl. if a vulture sits on them, it indicates they will be hanged. hazrat daniyal, may allah have mercy on him, said that if a vulture descends in a street, it indicates the king will descend there, and if a vulture is killed in a street, it indicates the king of that country will be deposed or killed. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing a vulture in a dream can be interpreted in six ways: (1) greatness (2) authority (3) sovereignty (4) praise and acclaim (5) rank (6) commanding and prohibiting.
