Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees in a dream that he has a tray and there is food in it, and he eats from it, it is a sign that he will gain as much booty. hazrat ibrahim karmani, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing a decorated tray in a dream is good. if it is taken up without eating, it is a sign of grief and sorrow, and eating a lot is a sign of long life. and if he sees that there are three kinds of food on the tray, it is a sign that his livelihood will be abundant. the command of allah is: {our lord! send down to us a table spread with food from heaven.} (al-ma'idah 5:114) (o our lord! send down to us food from the heaven) and some interpreters say that it is honor, rank, and happiness. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing a tray in a dream is for five reasons: (1) present bounty, (2) noble man, (3) strength, (4) management of affairs, (5) honor, rank, and happiness.
