Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a river of water in a dream, like delicious and pure water, is a sign that life will be good. and if he sees that he drank clear water from an unknown river while he is traveling or in a foreign place, it is a sign that he will be busy with an unknown job and live his life, and will benefit according to the drinking from this river. and if the river's water is bitter and tasteless, it is a sign of bitterness in pleasure and a ruined life. hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a river in a dream symbolizes a person’s patron who will be close. if he sees the river's water flowing and clear, it is evidence that his work will be continuous. and if he sees the river's water muddy, it is a sign that his work will be destroyed and disorganized, and the place where he sees the river's water has the interpretation of the bank, and whatever decrease or increase he sees in the river will affect the patron. and if he sees that he is sitting on a throne, and water is flowing beneath it, it is a sign that wealth and prosperity will come towards him, and the conditions of both worlds will be good for him. the divine saying is: {gardens beneath which rivers flow, for them therein is whatever they wish} (an-nahl 16:31). "underneath rivers flow, and they have whatever they desire." and if he sees that he is sitting in the clear water of the river, it is a sign that he will be relieved of sorrow. if he is ill, he will be healed. if he is in debt, the debt will be paid. if he is traveling, he will return home. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that in interpretation, a river is a dignified and beneficial person, and if he sees that he has brought water from the river, it is a sign that he will acquire wealth from a wealthy person to that extent. a small river symbolizes life, and allah knows the true nature of all matters.
