Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing wheat starch in a dream is permissible wealth that will be obtained through business with hardship. if one sees that he has eaten starch, it is an indication that he will be sorrowful, and some interpreters have stated that he will become ill. if one sees that he has eaten halwa made from starch, it is an indication that he will obtain wealth and blessings. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that he has extracted starch from wheat, it is evidence that he will obtain something from his earnings with difficulty and hardship.
