Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that a sheep in a dream is a gain. if he sees that he is herding goats, it is a sign that he will attain greatness and leadership over a group. and if he sees that some goats are black and some are white, it indicates that the group will be mixed of arabs and non-arabs. and if he sees that many goats are gathered and knows they all belong to him, it is a sign that he will acquire a lot of wealth. if he sees that he lifted a goat on his shoulder, it indicates that he will take over someone’s labor and if he sees that he ate cooked goat's meat, it indicates that he will gain wealth equivalent to that. and if he sees that he ate roasted meat, it indicates sorrow and anguish. and if he sees that he slaughtered a goat for eating, it indicates he will prevail over the enemy and consume his wealth. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said if he sees that he caught a goat or someone gave it to him, it means he will associate with a great person and gain greatness and wealth from him. and if he sees that he slaughtered a goat by cutting its throat and left it, it signifies he will triumph over a great man and take and spend his wealth. if he sees that he is riding on a goat and it is obedient, it indicates he will overpower a great man. and if he sees a goat overpowering him, the interpretation is the opposite of the first. and if he sees that he broke the head and feet of a goat, it indicates he will prevail over the person described above. and if he sees that the head and feet of a goat are strong and long, it signifies that person will be strong and powerful. if he sees that the goat has no fleece, it means that he will acquire wealth and blessings in the same amount. if he sees that he has sheared a lot of wool from a goat and knows it belongs to him, it is a sign that he will rule over people to the same extent, make them subordinate, and gain wealth and blessings from them. some interpret that for each goat, he will gain one year, honor, and dignity. hazrat jabir maghrebi (may allah have mercy on him) said that a goat in a dream is a great and generous woman. in the story of david, the command of allah almighty is: {verily, this my brother has ninety-nine ewes, and i have only one ewe.} (sura sad 38:23). if he caught a goat or someone gave him one, it indicates that the woman with the described qualities will love and desire him, and he will obtain wealth from her. if he sees the goat ruined, it suggests that the woman will separate from him. hazrat ismail ash'ath (may allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees he has slaughtered a goat, it indicates that he will slander a virtuous woman. if the goat is black, it signifies that the woman will be arab, and if white, she will be non-arab. the skin of a goat is lawful gain and wealth, and seeing a sheep in a dream has five interpretations: (1) leader (2) lady leader (3) wealth (4) command (5) rank and benefit.
