Dream interpretation of the term 'khayu' means saliva and spittle. hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) has stated that if one sees that he has spat, it indicates that he will speak unjustly. if he sees that he spat in the mosque, it signifies that he will speak about religion. similarly, wherever he spits, it implies that he will talk about the people of that place. if he spits on the wall, it indicates spending money in a place that is displeasing to allah. if he spits on the ground, he will face loss, and if he spits on a tree, it indicates that he will break a promise and swear falsely. hazrat ibrahim karamani (may allah have mercy on him) stated that warm spittle indicates longevity, cold spittle signifies death, and the opposite is true. black spittle indicates sorrow and grief, and yellow spittle signifies illness. if spittle comes out of the mouth without staining a cloth, it means he will speak with falsehood and false knowledge. if he is not worthy of it, he will lie, and if he sees that he has removed phlegm from the throat and placed it in his sleeve, it indicates that he will spend his wealth on his dependents. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) stated that if one sees that someone has thrown spittle with blood on his face, it indicates that people from his relatives will taunt him. if he sees that the blood was mixed with spittle, it indicates that he will consume forbidden things and lie, and he will not fulfill promises.
