Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees he has a rooster, and knows that it belongs to him, it is a sign that he will gain victory over young slaves. and if he sees that he is fighting with the rooster, it is a sign that he will quarrel with a non-arab person. and if he sees that he has been harmed by the rooster, it is a sign that he will be harmed by a non-arab person. and if he sees that he has found a rooster's chick, it is a sign that he will gain a boy from a small slave or his maid. and if he sees that he heard the sound of a rooster, it is a sign that he will receive sorrow from someone, and the rooster's egg in a dream is a slave. and if he sees that someone gave him a rooster's chick, it is a sign that that person will give him a slave. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees that he has a rooster in his dream, it is a sign that he will have a son or that he will associate with a male muezzin. thus, the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "the rooster is my friend who calls to prayer." hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees that he has conquered a rooster, it is a sign that he will overcome the leader's son and dominate him. and if he sees in a dream that he has found a rooster's egg and broke it, it is a sign that he will overcome someone younger or older.
