Dream interpretation of reading the holy quran in a dream is evidence of the authority. if in a dream, a verse of mercy and glad tidings is from the truth, it is necessary to give charity and show gratitude, and if one sees that a verse of punishment is read, it indicates the anger and wrath of god, therefore, one should repent and turn to god. and if one sees that a verse from stories and parables is read, it indicates that one will commit a sin. hazrat ibrahim kermani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees in a dream that half of the holy quran is read, it is evidence that half of one's life has passed. and if one sees that one has become a hafiz of the quran, it is evidence that he will keep the trust in mind. and if one sees that he has heard the sound of the holy quran, it indicates that his work will be good in the way of religion. and if one sees that someone else is reading the holy quran and he does not understand it, it indicates that his heart will be afflicted with sorrow and distress. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that he has completed the entire holy quran, it indicates that he will achieve his goal. some interpreters say that his life has reached its end, and if one sees that he reads the quran aloud, it indicates that his work will be elevated and he will be famous among people. and if one sees that he remembers the verses read, it indicates that the interpretation of these verses is its explanation. hazrat ismail ash'ath (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that a quarter of the quran is recited, it indicates that the dreamer will be famous among the people. and if one sees that he has read from surah al-a'raf to surah maryam, it indicates that the dreamer will be famous among the people, and if one sees that he has read from surah maryam to the end of the quran, all his desires will be fulfilled and if one sees that he has read a whole section of the holy quran, it indicates that the year and month will be blessed upon him and if one sees that he has read seven sections of the holy quran, it indicates that he will be freed from sorrow and distress. and if one is not a quran reader and sees in a dream that he has read the quran, it indicates that his death is near. the command of god is: 'read your book; today you are sufficient to take account of yourself.' (al-isra 17:14). and if one sees that he is naked and reading the holy quran, it indicates that he will be desirous, and if he reads in clean and unclean places, it indicates that there will be a defect in his belief. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that reciting the holy quran in a dream is based on four reasons: (1) safety from calamity (2) wealth after poverty (3) fulfilling the desires of the heart (4) observance of awakening and piety. such people who are sinners and for them, the establishment of evidence of punishment and torment on the day of resurrection.
