Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if someone sees themselves in a prison and does not see other prisoners, it is an indication of their destruction. and if they know the prison, it is a sign of grief and sorrow. and if they see themselves in the shoes in prison, it means that their work will be delayed and they will be distressed. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if a non-righteous person sees this dream, they will gain grief and sorrow from religious pursuits. and if they see a man walking with chains, it indicates that the work that was stopped will be completed. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a known prison in a dream indicates achieving goals and good outcomes. allah almighty said, 'my lord, prison is dearer to me than what they invite me to' (yusuf: 33). if the prison is unknown, the person will be blind and remain in grief and sorrow, as hazrat yusuf (peace be upon him) said: 'the prison is the grave of the living, the abode of trials, a test for friends, and a delight for enemies.' and if they see themselves entering a prison and then quickly exiting, it indicates that they will achieve their full intentions. hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that prison in a dream is a grave.
