Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that if a person sees in a dream that he is developing a desolate place, such as a mosque, school, monastery, and the like, then it is a sign of the goodness of faith and intellect and reward of the hereafter. and if he sees that he is developing a wasteland himself, like building an inn or a shop, it is a sign of benefit and goodness in this world. and if he sees a populated place desolate, it is a sign that a calamity or misfortune will befall that place. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that if a person sees himself residing in a populated place in a dream, it is a sign that he will gain good and benefit in proportion to the population. and if he sees the opposite, he will find evil, corruption, and loss. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing population indicates four things: first, the improvement of the affairs of this world; second, goodness and benefit; third, desire and success; fourth, the happening of a halted matter.
