Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that a dove in a dream is a woman or a maid. if someone sees in a dream that he has caught a dove, it is evidence that he will marry a woman and have a daughter. and if he sees that he has caught many doves, it is evidence that he will marry many women or buy maids. if he sees that he has eaten dove meat, it is evidence that he will benefit from the wealth of women, and if he sees that he has caught doves' chicks, it is evidence that he will gain profit from women, and some interpreters have stated that the dove's chick is evidence of sorrow and grief that will come to him from a woman. hazrat ibrahim karmani, may allah have mercy on him, said that if he sees in a dream that there are many doves in his house, it is evidence that he will have many children, and it is said that he will gain a lot of wealth from women. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that free women are doves in a dream, and if he sees that he has caught someone's dove through deceit, it is evidence that he will obtain as much wealth through deception and trickery. and if he sees that a dove has come to him from the air and become obedient to him, it is evidence that he will benefit from an unknown place. and if he sees that he has given seeds to a dove, it is evidence that he will teach a woman something, and if he sees that many doves have gathered and he knows that they belong to him, it is evidence of leadership and authority, and white doves in a dream are better than others. and if a woman sees a green dove in a dream, it is evidence that she will marry or have a daughter, and playing with doves in a dream is a useless activity, and it is said that a dovecote in a dream is a place of women. hazrat ja'far sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that a dove in a dream is five things: (1) a woman (2) a maid (3) wealth (4) a letter from an absentee (5) leadership. interpreters have stated that seeing doves in a dream is like receiving a dirham for each dove in wakefulness.
