Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that in a dream, a parrot represents a son or a servant. if someone sees in a dream that a parrot has flown from his hand, it is an indication that his son or servant will go on a journey. and if he sees the parrot talking to him, it is a sign that he will do something or say something that will surprise people. a female parrot signifies a maiden girl, and a parrot of emerald color is a sign of purity in religion or will be a pious servant. and if he sees that he has killed a female parrot, it is an indication that he will marry a virgin girl. and if he sees that a parrot is coming out of his mouth or back, it indicates that his son will say bad things about him. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a parrot in a dream is for three reasons: 1. son and servant 2. virgin girl 3. pious student.
