Dream interpretation of hazrat daniyal (may allah's mercy be upon him) stated that seeing oil in a dream is a sign of wealth and blessings, and some say it signifies inheritance. if one sees in a dream that he has cow oil and eats it, it is evidence that he will obtain wealth and blessings to that extent and will be dear to people. the interpretation of goat oil is the same, but cow oil is better than lamb oil. almond and sesame oil are wealth and blessings, and other valuable oils, such as balsam, violet, and olive oil, indicate benefits from rural men, and olive oil indicates benefits from arabs. hazrat ibn sirin (may allah's mercy be upon him) said that if someone sees that his body is all smeared with oil in a dream, it is evidence that he will fall ill. and if he sees oil applied to his head, it indicates adornment, and if he sees fragrant oil like violet or jasmine, it indicates worldly decoration, and all oils, when fragrant, indicate goodness, while foul smell indicates evil. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah's mercy be upon him) said that olive oil in a dream is wealth and blessings. and if he sees in a dream that a man is applying oil to another man's head, it is evidence that he will deceive and trick that person. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah's mercy be upon him) said that applying oil to oneself in a dream is evidence of adornment, but it also signifies distress and sorrow, and if he sees that he is applying oil to his chest, it is evidence that he will take a false oath. hazrat ismail ash’ath (may allah's mercy be upon him) said that all oils are interpreted as bad, but eating olive oil is a sign of wealth, while applying it is a sign of grief and distress. and if he sees his clothes being soiled with oil, it is evidence that he will be sorrowful. hazrat ja'far sadiq (may allah's mercy be upon him) stated that good oil in a dream pertains to six things: 1. beautiful woman 2. maid 3. good reputation 4. benefit 5. good speech 6. good nature.
