Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that in a dream, a peg represents a brother. if one sees that he has fixed a peg in a wall, it is an indication that his brother will capture a man at the place where the peg is fixed because the wall symbolizes a man. if he sees that he tied the peg with a rope, it indicates that his brother will meet a man. if he sees that he drove a peg into the back, it is a sign that a son will be born who will become a king or attain full honor and majesty or will be a pious man whose name will be known around the world. hazrat ibrahim kirmani, may allah have mercy on him, said that the peg in a dream represents dignity and status in religion and the world, and if he sees that the peg is at his house's door, it indicates that he will gain honor and respect. if he removes the peg from his house and throws it outside, its interpretation is contrary to the first. if he sees that he has a peg made of wood, iron, silver, copper, or bone, it indicates one of two things: either he will acquire a woman or make a friend. if he sees that he has driven a peg in a column or wood, it indicates friendship with an agreeable person. if he has driven a peg in a tree and it has settled well, it is interpreted as friendship, marriage, or a gift or encounter with a woman. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that if the peg is of brass or copper, its interpretation is good, and if it's of iron or bone, it indicates goodness and strength. if he sees that he has an iron peg in his hand, it indicates that he will have a son who is fit for kingship, and if he does not have a son, it indicates that god almighty will grant him knowledge and wisdom. if he is not among the people of knowledge, it indicates that he will love the people of knowledge. if he sees that he has driven a gold or silver peg into the ground, it indicates he will become wealthy from his earnings. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing a peg in a dream has four interpretations: (1) brother, (2) son, (3) friend, (4) marriage with a woman.
