Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that in a dream, scissors represent a man who is a divider. if one sees that he cuts hair or cloth with scissors, it is an indication that all will be well. if one sees that he has been given scissors or has purchased them, if he has a son, another son will come; if he has a daughter, another daughter will come; and the same interpretation applies if there are two pieces of scissors. hazrat ibrahim karmani, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees that he has been given scissors or has purchased or found them, and if he has a horse, he will buy or find another horse; if he has land, he will acquire more land. everything he has, he will receive more of. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that in a dream, scissors represent a man of good reputation and noble origin who will become friends with him and will bring increase in his worldly and religious matters. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing scissors in a dream is for three reasons: (1) a dividing man, (2) a man of noble origin, (3) a disagreeable friend.
