Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, has said that in a dream, a mouse symbolizes a woman who appears pious outwardly but is immoral inwardly. if one sees catching a mouse or being given a mouse, it signifies that he will engage with a woman of such a trait. if one sees catching a mouse in a drum, it signifies dealing with a woman through deception and guile. if one sees many mice gathered in his house, all of the same kind, it means women matching the nature of those mice will gather in his house. if there are different kinds of mice, with some black and some white, it indicates an interpretation contrary to night and day. in the hadith, it is mentioned that the prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) has said that night and day are like two mice that cut away the lifespan of people. hazrat ibrahim karmani, may allah have mercy on him, has said that if one sees a mouse coming out of his nose or his urethra, it means that he will have a wayward daughter. hazrat jabir karmani, may allah have mercy on him, has said that if one sees wild mice entering his house, it is proof that agitator women will gather there, and in dreams, mice represent wealth and troublesome women’s belongings. the domestic and wild mice in a dream are equal in interpretation. hazrat ismail ash’ath, may allah have mercy on him, has said that if one sees catching a tailless mouse, it signifies engaging with a baseless woman. seeing a dead mouse in one's hand signifies impending misfortune, if a mouse is crushed underfoot, it means abandoning a bad woman. if one sees throwing a stone at a mouse, it indicates accusing someone, and if there is a mouse in his bed, it indicates intent to engage in corruption with an immoral woman. eating a mouse signifies consuming the property of a problematic woman.
