Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that in the interpretation of a populated mosque, it represents a knowledgeable man to whom many people come for counsel. the command of allah says: {and in the mosques, the name of allah is much mentioned.} (al-hajj 22:40) if one sees that he has built a mosque, it indicates that he will provide good for the muslims, and he will receive rewards and blessings, or he will bring together a group of people for a noble cause or keep them firm on the religion of islam and sharia. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that laying the foundation of a mosque in a dream is an indication of getting married. if one sees that he has laid the foundation of a mosque and completed it, it indicates he will marry a lawful woman who will be religious and virtuous, and if one sees himself sitting in a mosque with greenery around, it indicates an assumption of a thing that is not in him. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said if one sees someone stopping him at the door of a mosque, it indicates oppression on him. if one sees he has performed prayers in the mosque but not in the direction of qibla, its interpretation is bad, and if he sees washing hands and face in the mosque, it indicates spending wealth in the mosque and achieving ones aim. if the mosque is seen deserted, it indicates that a scholar will die. hazrat ismail ash'ath (may allah have mercy on him) said that building a mosque in a dream is a desire, gathering misguided people, bringing them to correction, and speaking ill of enemies. the command of allah says: {those who prevailed over their matter said: we will surely build a mosque over them.} (al-kahf 18:21) if one sees that a place turned into a mosque, he will gain respect and honor in religion and will call towards allah. if one sees entering a mosque with a group of people, it indicates marrying a quarrelsome woman. if one sees that he lit a lamp in the mosque, it indicates the birth of a righteous boy. if he sees entering the mosque of mecca or medina, it indicates that he will be safe from all kinds of fear. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a mosque in a dream has twelve interpretations: (1) king (2) judge (3) scholar (4) chief (5) imam (6) preacher (7) caller to prayer (8) mosque (9) leader (10) goodness and blessings (11) getting married (12) doing good deeds. if one sees decorating a mosque on friday, it indicates that scholars will gain goodness and blessings from him. if he sees building a mosque, it indicates correction of his faith and religion. if he sees entering a mosque, it indicates he will be safe from fear. the command of allah says: {and whoever enters it attains security.} (al-'imran 3:95)
