Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) has said that if one sees happiness in a dream, it is a sign of sorrow and grief. and if one sees someone being happy, it indicates that sorrow and grief will reach him. and if a deceased person is seen happy and cheerful in a dream, it is proof that his condition will be good and his end will be in righteousness. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) has said that if one sees himself being happy without reason in a dream, it is an indication that his death is near. the command of allah almighty is: 'until, when they are happy with that which they were given, we seize them suddenly' (al-anam, 6:44).
