Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing light in a dream is a sign of guidance in religion. and if one sees that he has taken light or someone has given it to him, it means that he will teach someone the knowledge of religion and guide them to the right path, while darkness in a dream signifies misguidance and disbelief. the command of allah almighty is: ‘allah is the friend of those who have faith; he brings them out of the darkness into the light.’ (al-baqarah 2:257). hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees light entering his chest, it means he will be pious and religious. the command of allah almighty is: ‘is the one whose breast allah has opened to islam, so he is upon a light from his lord?’ (az-zumar 39:22). and if in a dream, one sees light all around him, it is evidence of his safety and well-being. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing light in a dream occurs for four reasons: first, guidance in religion. second, knowledge. third, the straight path. fourth, pure belief.
