Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees that his tongue has been cut and it becomes defective without any quarrel and at the time of argument, his tongue becomes silent, then its interpretation is against it. and if one sees that his tongue has increased in length and width, it is a sign that his tongue will flow during arguments and will increase, and he will gain victory over his opponent. if he sees that his tongue has elongated without any quarrel, it is a sign that he will engage in lengthy speech. hazrat ibrahim karmani, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees that he has two tongues, it is an indication that the almighty will grant him knowledge and wisdom. and if he sees that he intentionally closes his tongue and does not speak, it is a sign that he will repent from lying. if he sees that an error flows from his tongue, it indicates that he will say something that will not please the almighty. and if he sees that someone has placed a tongue in his mouth, it is a sign that he will have strength and reason in conversation with someone. if he sees that he is sucking someone’s tongue, it is a sign that he will gain knowledge and wisdom from them. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees that his tongue has become mute, it is a sign of corruption in his faith and life. and if he sees that he has sealed a dervish's tongue, it indicates that he will give something to the dervish. if he sees that he has cut a tongue, it indicates that he will expose his secrets and render him disgraced. and if he sees that his tongue is glued to the roof of his mouth, it indicates that he will be indebted. hazrat daniyal, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees that his tongue is strong and thick, it indicates that he will overpower his opponent. if he sees that his tongue is wounded, it indicates that he will slander or lie about someone. if he sees hair growing on his tongue, it indicates that he will be entangled in trouble due to his words. if he sees that his tongue is swollen, it indicates that he will gain wealth due to his speech. hazrat ismail ashath, may allah have mercy on him, said that if one sees that his tongue has two branches, it indicates that he will be hypocritical. if he sees that he has no tongue, it indicates that he will be helpless in all his affairs. if he sees that the tip of his tongue is missing or cut off and he cannot speak, it indicates that his affairs will be entrusted to a lawyer. if he sees that his tongue is dry, it indicates difficulty in interpretation. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing a tongue in a dream signifies six things: (1) wisdom (2) leadership (3) interpreter (4) need (5) lawyer (6) friend.
