Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sireen, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing ordinary iron in a dream is a servant, otherwise one will receive wealth of the world according to the iron. and if he sees that someone has given him iron in a dream, then it is an indication that someone will give him worldly wealth according to the amount of iron. hazrat kirmani, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing iron in a dream relates to ability and kingship. as allah almighty has mentioned in the holy quran: 'and we sent down iron, in which is severe strength and benefits for people' (al-hadid 57:25). if he sees that he extracted iron from a stone, it is proof that he will face hardship. allah's command is: 'say be stones or iron or created yet as far as can appear from your minds.' (al-isra 17:50-51) hazrat jaber al-maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said if someone sees in a dream that he is blacksmithing, although he is not among blacksmiths, it indicates that he will have a dispute with someone. and if he is a blacksmith himself, this dream is an indication of goodness and benefit. some interpreters say that the interpretation of a blacksmith is a king or a noble who is just and fair. hazrat ibn sireen, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing a well-known blacksmith in a dream indicates royalty, and if not known, the good or bad interpretation of what is seen will depend on the blacksmith. and if he sees in a dream that he is melting iron or brass, it indicates that the person is backbiting about people and speaking ill. hazrat ja'far al-sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that if someone sees anything made of iron in a dream, whether a needle, it indicates profit, strength, authority, energy, and victory over enemies.
