Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that intoxication in a dream is a sign of unlawful wealth and negligence in prayer. allah almighty states: '{o you who believe! do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated.}' (an-nisa 4:43) 'o believers, do not go near prayer in a state of intoxication.' hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if intoxication in a dream is from wine, it indicates much fear and dread. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that intoxication in a dream is due to four reasons: (1) wealth (2) prosperity (3) strength and weakness (4) corresponding fear and terror.
