Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees oneself in hell and does not come out, it is evidence of being sinful and unrighteous. one should repent for their sins. if one sees hell but is not harmed, it indicates that they will encounter distress and sorrow but will eventually find safety. if one sees oneself residing in hell without knowing when they entered, it indicates that they will constantly pursue livelihood in this world. if one sees eating the food and drink of the inhabitants of hell and burning in fire, it is evidence of evil deeds in this world and punishment in the hereafter. if one sees that angels have caught and thrown them into hell by the hair of their forehead, it's a sign of the dreamer's misfortune. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing oneself in hell indicates boldness in committing sins. if one sees drinking thorny plants and boiling water, it suggests engagement in false and unknown knowledge. if one sees drawing a sword and entering hell, it indicates uttering foul and bad words. if one sees eating something, it suggests consuming an orphan's property. lighting a fire near hell suggests facing a difficult task. hazrat jabir maghrebi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees being dragged into hell in a dream, it is evidence of eventual disbelief. allah almighty's command: 'on the day they are dragged in the fire on their faces [it will be said], ‘taste the touch of saqar.'
