Dream interpretation of hazrat daniyal (may allah have mercy on him) said that the food and drink he received have a bad interpretation except for faluda and the like because sweets are based on oil and honey, and the interpretation of both is wealth. hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that difficult and tasteless food signifies sorrow and grief, while sour food is indicative of disease, and sweet food signifies pleasure and happiness. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees food taken from gold and silver, it's a sign of financial loss, and if one sees food in his house and all is consumed, it is an indication that he will live a life of joy. and if he sees that he has eaten so much food that he cannot stand, it is evidence of his death, and if he sees a dead man eating food, it is a sign that the food will be burdensome. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees giving food to a dervish, it's a sign that he will be freed from sorrow, pity, and fear, and if he sees giving food to a non-believer, it is a sign that allah will aid him in the affairs of enemies.
