Dream interpretation of flood سیل (رُو‘ پانی کا تیز دھارا‘ سیلاب‘ طوفان)

Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that in a dream, a flood is a great enemy or a tyrant king. and if he sees in a dream that he has pushed the flood away from himself and it has gone to another place, it is a sign that he will gain victory over the enemy and his sorrow and grief will be reduced. and if he sees that he has fled from the flood, it means he will flee from the enemy. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that a cold-water river in a dream signifies sorrow and grief, while a hot-water river is a sign of benefit. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said if he sees the world filled with a flood and does not know where it came from, it is a sign that the almighty will send punishment to that land. the command of the almighty is: {so we sent upon them the flood} (al-a'raf 7:133) (and we sent upon them the flood). some interpreters have stated that if he sees in a dream that the flood is destroying a place, it is a sign that the people of that place will fear the king's compensation. hazrat ja'far sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a flood in a dream is due to four reasons: (1) a great enemy (2) a tyrant king (3) an absent army (4) calamity, chaos, and hardship.
