Dream interpretation of ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, states that green and dry firewood in a dream indicates conflict, fight, dispute, and slander. if someone sees that he brought firewood, i.e., burnable wood, into his house, it is a sign that he will face some conflict and dispute in that city or house according to the amount of firewood. if he sees that a stranger gave him some burnable wood, it indicates that he will have some dispute and conflict with a stranger. hazrat ibrahim kermani, may allah have mercy on him, says that if someone sees he is collecting all kinds of firewood from a forest or a desert, it indicates that this person will be of bad character, envious and a slanderer, and he will soon be caught, as it is stated in the words of the almighty: 'a carrier of firewood, with a rope of palm-fiber at her neck' (surah al-masad, 111:4-5). if one sees that he is collecting firewood from trees, it indicates that he will be tested among influential people and elders, and will hear baseless talks. and if one sees that the trees from which he was collecting firewood were fruit-bearing, it indicates that he will be among great, courageous people and will be influential. overall, seeing green and dry firewood in a dream is not considered good.
