Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing the eye in a dream is seeing a wise man from whom guidance is obtained. a cat-like or blue eye is innovation, and a pink eye signifies a child. if one sees themselves blind, it is a sign of being lost from the path of guidance or the death of their child. if one sees that one of their eyes has become blind, it is a sign that half of their faith has been wasted or they have committed a great sin. or a calamity will come upon their hand, foot, or a part of their body, or half of their work will be ruined. hazrat ibrahim kirmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if someone sees that they are putting kohl in their eyes, it is a sign that they seek reform in religion. and if one sees that they are using kohl for adornment, it shows they present themselves as trustworthy and pious to gain respect among people. and if one sees that someone has given them kohl to apply in their eyes, it indicates that they will gain wealth accordingly. if one sees their vision weakening, it signifies that they are two-faced and hypocritical in appearance and reality. if one sees that they have many eyes and see everything perfectly, it signifies religious reform and fulfilling religious obligations and sunnah properly. if one sees someone removing their eye, it signifies losing something precious like a woman, child, house, or garden from their sight, never to see it again. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees a metal eye, it signifies losing the veil of privacy. if one sees swelling over both eyes, preventing them from opening, it means that they will associate with an opposing person. if one sees weakness in the light of their eyes, it indicates a hindrance in practicing obedience. if one sees both eyes protruding, it shows ignorance of religion and its practices. if one sees a single eye in the middle of their face, it signifies uttering inappropriate words concerning religion. if one sees their eyes shining but people perceive them as seeing or blind, it indicates that the inner faith is better than the outer. if one sees the black of their eyes turning to another color, it indicates evil and change of state, as the command of allah says, 'and we shall gather the guilty blue-eyed on that day.' if one sees their eyes turning white and then black again, it signifies illness or dispute with someone. if one sees the eye turn black without whiteness, it signifies arrogance. if one sees calamity befall one eye, it indicates danger to their children. if one sees someone stretching their hand to remove one eye, it indicates that their child will be led astray or that they will incur financial loss or commit sins. if one sees someone tying their eyes or holding them in hand, it indicates loss to their child or wealth or committing sins. if one sees blood flowing from their eyes, it signifies grief due to their child or financial loss. hazrat ismail ash'ath (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees their eye turning into an ear and the ear into an eye, it means marrying a woman who will have a daughter and engaging in intercourse with both. if one sees their eye on the palm of their hand, it signifies gaining wealth. if one sees whiteness in their eye, it indicates grief and sorrow, as the command of allah states, 'and his eyes grieved and turned white due to sorrow.' a narrative recounts that a man came to hazrat daniel (may allah have mercy on him) and said he saw in a dream that his right eye was kissing his left eye. hazrat daniel interpreted it as a warning to fear allah, repent, and refrain from betrayal with a neighbor's wife to remain safe from divine punishment. the man vowed repentance. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing an eye in a dream has seven interpretations: first, brightness; second, religious guidance; third, islam; fourth, child; fifth, wealth; sixth, knowledge; seventh, increase in wealth and faith.
