Dream interpretation of devil دیو (شیطان)

Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, said that in a dream, a demon is a great enemy, deceitful, and treacherous person. and if he sees that the demon is whispering to him, it is a sign that he should repent of inappropriate things so that the enemy may not succeed over him. the command of allah almighty is: 'indeed, those who fear allah, when an evil thought comes to them from satan, they remember [him] and they then see [things correctly].' (al-a'raf 7:201). and if he sees that he fought with the devil and overcame him, it is proof that his religion will be correct; if not, it is a sign of weakness in religion. hazrat ibrahim kermani, may allah have mercy on him, said that if he sees the devil happy in a dream, it is a sign that he will be engaged in greed and lust. and if he sees the devil sad, it is a sign that he will be engaged in worship and righteousness of religion, and if he sees that the devil has taken off his clothes from his body, if he is a ruler, he will be removed from power, and if a villager sees this dream, it is a sign that he will suffer damage. hazrat jaber maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that if he sees a demon climbing on his back, it is a sign that the demon will overpower him; and if he sees that he is imprisoned in the hands of the demon and taken away, it is a sign that he will be famous in disgrace; and if he sees that he has been with the devil, it is a sign that he will commit a great sin. and if he sees that he has talked to the demon, it is a sign that he will reconcile with the enemy and allah almighty will fulfill their wishes. the command of allah almighty is: 'secret conversation is only from satan so that he may cause grief to those who have believed, but he will not harm them at all except by permission of allah.' (mujadila 58:10). hazrat ismail ash'ath, may allah have mercy on him, said that if he sees in a dream that he ate food and drank water with the devil, it is a sign that he will come to the path of immorality and corruption and will follow the devil. and if he sees the opposite of this, it is a sign that he will be on the path of goodness and righteousness and will be content in the way of religion. and if he sees that he has caught the devil or has gone into its belly, it is a sign that he will be far from the path of corruption and will repent and be busy in worship. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that seeing the devil in a dream is for six reasons: (1) seeing an enemy. (2) corruption. (3) lust, trouble, and desires of the self. (4) being away from obedience. (5) seeking to be away from good people and righteousness. (6) forbidden things.
