Dream interpretation of darkness ظلمات (اندھیرے)

Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees himself in darkness and then turned into light, it is a sign that the path of religion will open for him. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees himself going from darkness to light and then back to darkness, it indicates that he will be a hypocrite. allah says: 'when darkness falls upon them, they stand still; and if allah willed, he could take away their hearing and their sight' (al-baqarah 2:20). similarly, in another place in the quran, it is said: 'allah took away their light and left them in darkness, unable to see' (al-baqarah 2:17). hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that darkness in a dream represents sorrow and grief, and if one sees darkness over a country, it indicates that extreme sorrow and grief will manifest in that land. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that darkness in a dream has five interpretations: (1) disbelief, (2) bewilderment, (3) hindrance in tasks, (4) innovation, (5) misguidance. if a wealthy person sees that he has become poor, it indicates that his wealth will increase, and if a poor person sees that he has become wealthy, it indicates that his situation will worsen, and allah knows best.

(al-baqarah 2:20) hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that darkness in dreams signifies grief and sorrow, and if it becomes very dark, it indicates that the people of the land will be afflicted with grief and their business will suffer. if it was bright and suddenly dark clouds appeared, it means sudden death will appear in that land. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that darkness in a dream has five aspects: first: disbelief. second: astonishment and confusion. third: hindrance in work. fourth: innovation. fifth: falling into misguidance and deviation. hazrat ibrahim ash'ath, may allah have mercy on him, said that if someone sees in a dream that he has emerged from darkness into light, it means he will come from poverty to wealth, be relieved from sorrow, his affairs will open up, and he will stay away from misguidance.
