Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that he has been cupped by a stranger in a strange place, it is a sign that he will take a trust upon his neck. and if he sees that a friend has cupped him, it is a sign that he will return the trust and remain safe from the mischief of the enemy and gain relief from grief. if a young man sees this dream, this is its interpretation; and if an old man sees it, he will gain greatness. hazrat ibrahim kirmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that he has cupped an old man, it is a sign that his work will be excellent. and if he sees that he has cupped a king, it is a sign that he will be close to the king. and if a scholar sees that blood did not come out from cupping, it is a sign that he will be the accountant or secretary of the king. and if he is ignorant, he will be drowned in debt. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that cupping in a dream has seven reasons. first: fulfilling a trust. second: making a condition. third: gaining authority. fourth: honor and greatness. fifth: status. sixth: the tradition of the prophet (peace be upon him). seventh: if he is a ruler, he will be removed from his position. some interpreters have said that if the cupping person is young, it is a sign that he will be an accountant of expenses or an estimator of things, and people's wealth will be in abundance at his hand.
