Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, stated that seeing a cloak in a dream signifies piety and steadfastness in religion, especially if it is green. if someone sees that they have a cloak made of fur or sable, it indicates that they will find refuge with an honest man. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, said that if someone sees a green cloak in their possession, it means they will benefit from a trustworthy person. if the cloak is red, it suggests that they will gain benefit equivalent to the cloak's value from a pleasure-loving person. if it is white, they will gain from a righteous and wealthy person. a yellow cloak indicates illness, a blue one signifies sorrow and grief, and if they wear a black cloak and are a judge or preacher, it indicates goodness and virtue, but if they are not, it suggests harm and disgrace. hazrat ismail ash’ath, may allah have mercy on him, mentioned that a cloak of silk signifies loss for men and happiness for women. a wine-colored cloak is good for both men and women. a wide white cloak signifies much goodness and virtue, while a narrow cloak signifies loss of wealth. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, said that a cotton cloak is good for both men and women, and seeing a cloak in a dream can indicate four things: (1) women, (2) trustworthiness, (3) rectification of affairs, (4) goodness and benefit.
