Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, stated that seeing a chair in a dream signifies knowledge. it is logically essential, as allah almighty has mentioned in the holy quran: {وَسِعَ کُرْسِیُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ} (al-baqarah: 255), 'his sovereignty (and knowledge) encompasses the heavens and the earth.' hazrat ibn abbas, may allah be pleased with them, said that by chair, knowledge is meant. hazrat ibrahim karmani, may allah have mercy on him, stated that the chair signifies the power and scope of allah almighty and some interpreters have stated that the interpretation of the chair is that it would be perfect and wise. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, stated that the interpretation of the chair is an obedient leader or a pious abstinent with perfection or a complete knowledgeable just king as mentioned in the hadiths. it is evidence that it is good for the people of religion and scholars, and the dreamer will see good and benevolence from the just ruler and will have increased wealth. hazrat jafar sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, stated that seeing a chair in a dream is significant in six aspects: (1) justice (2) equity (3) honor and dignity (4) status (5) governance (6) value and prestige. if one sees that they are sitting on a chair in the sky, it is evidence that their work will be elevated, and they will gain dignity, status, and honor, and will achieve all desires, and will be respected and revered among the people, and will demonstrate justice and equity among the creations. if they see a chair made by a carpenter in a dream, it is evidence that the dreamer will marry. if they see that they took a big and pristine chair and are sitting on it, it is evidence that they will marry and acquire wealth and blessings through it. if they see that they are sitting on a chair, it is evidence that they will marry a virgin, and if they see the chair breaking under them, it is evidence that their wife will die. if they see that their chair is small and old, it is evidence that their wife will be humiliated, helpless, and poor. if they see that they have a chair and are not sitting on it, it is evidence that they will bring a woman into the household for service.
