Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin, may allah have mercy on him, has said that seeing a cemetery in a dream signifies the company of ignorant people, whose religion and worldly life are in ruin and who are in grief and remorse. hazrat ibrahim kermani, may allah have mercy on him, has said that if one sees that he has visited the inhabitants of the graves, it indicates meeting with prisoners. and if one sees that it is raining over the cemetery, it is evidence of divine mercy upon the deceased. hazrat jabir maghribi, may allah have mercy on him, has said that if a wealthy person sees that he is entering the graves and greeting them, it indicates that he will become a dervish and will beg from people, because a graveyard is the place of the needy. and if one sees that he is in a known cemetery and the dead are rising from the graves, this signifies that the people of that place will be caught in trouble and hardship. and if one sees open graves with some dead and some alive in them, it indicates that hardship and difficulty will manifest in that land. hazrat ja'far sadiq, may allah have mercy on him, has said that seeing a cemetery in a dream has three meanings: (1) prison (2) grief (3) hardship and affliction.
