Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if someone sees a caliph with a cheerful face in a dream, it is evidence that he will receive goodness in religion and the world. if he sees that the caliph has commanded him to do a specific task, it indicates that he will achieve honor, greatness, and rank. if he sees that the caliph has given him some province, it means that if he is a muslim, he will gain honor and dignity. if he sees that he has gone to the caliph's palace, it signifies that he will be among the caliph's close ones. if he sees that the caliph has given him something from worldly possessions, it indicates that he will attain rank and a great name among nobles. hazrat ibrahim kermani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees that the caliph argued with him over a religious matter, it is an indication that his wish will be fulfilled, and he will gain victory over his enemy. if he sees that he is sleeping on the caliph’s bed, it means that the caliph will give him a woman, slave, or wealth. if he sees that he is sitting on a horse behind the caliph, it indicates that he will be a partner with him in the caliphate. if he sees that the caliph is walking ahead or beside him, it means he will have authority in his matters. if he sees that the caliph is displeased with him, it indicates disturbance in his religion. hazrat jabir al-maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees that he has become a caliph and is not worthy of it, it means that the caliph will send him on a task. if he sees that the caliph has sent him on a task, it means he will gain goodness and benefit. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that if someone sees a living or dead caliph who is happy and talked with him, it indicates that he will achieve his desire and gain honor and wealth. but if he sees the caliph sad, the interpretation is the opposite of the first.
