Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that they have tied a waistband, it is an indication that a man will be their support and protection. some say that their support and protection will be from a son or relatives. if they see the waistband is adorned with pearls and jewels, it indicates that they will gain wealth according to its value, their support will become strong, and it is possible they will have a son who will be prosperous and wealthy among all the tribes. hazrat ibrahim kirmani (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees three or four waistbands tied on their waist, it is an indication that they will have a lot of wealth and servants, and it is said that their life will be long. if one sees that someone has given them a waistband and they have tied it on, it is an indication that they will go on a journey. if one sees that the waistband is broken, fallen, and lost, it indicates that there will be a loss of their wealth and dignity. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said that if one sees that their waistband is adorned with jewels, it indicates that they will be the leader of the tribe, and their family will be wealthy because of them. if one sees that the waistband is decorated with an iron or copper sword, it indicates something small is desired. if one sees that someone has gifted them a waistband with a sword, it indicates that they will travel for the sake of a king. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a waistband in a dream is for six reasons: (1) benefit from a father, brother, or relatives (2) son (3) dignity and protection (4) long life (5) achieving justice and desire (6) purity of religion. if they see a waistband tied on their waist, it indicates that they will attain justice from enemies, but half of their life will have passed.
