Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a bathhouse in a dream represents grief and sorrow. washing oneself signifies marriage and happiness. lukewarm water is good, while very hot water is bad. if one sees that he has gone to a bathhouse and washed thoroughly without taking a bath, it is a sign that he will be free from sorrow and worries. if he sees that he has gone to the bathhouse and did not take a bath, he will experience grief and sorrow from women. hazrat ibrahim kermani (may allah have mercy on him) said if one sees that he has gone to the bathhouse and cleansed himself thoroughly with lime, it is a sign of being safe from fear, experiencing happiness, recovering from illness, and becoming debt-free. if he is wealthy, he will be deprived of these benefits, and his wealth will decline. if he sees that he used lime but did not take a bath, it indicates that his work will not be completed. hazrat jabir maghribi (may allah have mercy on him) said if one sees that he went to the bathhouse, washed his hands, face, and body, and came out, it indicates that he will be free from sorrow. if he sees that there is a bathhouse in a lane or house, it signifies that an immodest woman will appear in that place. if he sees that he went to the bathhouse and does not need a bath, it is a sign that he will be sorrowful and in debt. if he sees that he went to the bathhouse and a thief took his clothes, leaving him naked, it means that the dreamer will be sorrowful and disgraced because of some matter. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing a bathhouse in a dream has six meanings: (1) woman, (2) grief and sorrow, (3) religion, (4) disobedience, (5) friend, (6) debt. the interpretation of a bathhouse owner is a woman, and some interpreters have said he is the owner of the house. hazrat ibrahim kermani (may allah have mercy on him) said if one sees that he is working with bathhouse people, then if he is a man, he will marry a wealthy woman and engage in women's work. if she is a woman, her husband will have the same traits.
