Dream interpretation of hazrat ibn sirin (may allah have mercy on him) said if one sees that he is praying in the mihrab, it indicates that he will have a righteous son. as the command of almighty allah regarding hazrat zakariya u is: {وَ ہُوَ قَآئِمٌ یُّصَلِّیْ فِی الْمِحْرَابِ} (al-imran 3:39) ''he was standing praying in the mihrab.'' if one sees that he has prayed on time, it indicates that his son will be righteous, and if he sees that he is sitting in the mihrab, it indicates that he will be lazy in prayer. hazrat ibrahim karmani (may allah have mercy on him) said if someone sees that he has built the structure of the mihrab, it indicates that his son will be knowledgeable and wise, and some interpreters say he will spend his wealth. hazrat jafar sadiq (may allah have mercy on him) said that seeing the mihrab in a dream has five interpretations: (1) imam, (2) king, (3) judge, (4) police chief, (5) people's messenger.
